The Nakamura Group Advantage is that we are a team dedicated to bringing the correct elements together to ensure that the very best feature motion pictures are realised only by taking full advantage of the resources available. Delivering a film is challenging at the best of times. The TNGA team excels at delivering great films by working with great partners, exceptional crews, directors with vision, finding and developing great scripts and leveraging our relationships with world class distributors.
WE KNOW CANADA
Canada is a nation that invests heavily in its film industry to attract Film Productions to play in our sandbox. TNGA has the experience and know how of what is required to ensure delivery of the Production. We are experts in Canadian Treaty Co-Productions, National and Provincial Tax Credit Programs, Preparation and Filing for Telefilm and CAVCO certifications, and working with Civic, Regional and National Film Commissions.
TNGA nurtures from within. We work with Canadian Writers and Directors to enable their vision while remaining mindful of commercial return. With several in-house projects in development on an ongoing basis, we produce & deliver 3 to 4 motion picture projects a year.
MARKETING & DISTRIBUTION
TNGA was formed under the leadership of Ken Nakamura who cut his teeth in International Sales & Acquisitions. Designing, developing and producing Motion Pictures to appeal not just to International Distributors of Motion Picture, but to attract Global Audiences is in our DNA.
In François Truffaut's Film "Day for Night", there is the line ""Shooting a film is like taking a stagecoach ride. First you hope to have a nice trip. Halfway along, you just hope to survive." We at the TNGA not only survive, we excel, by cultivating & maintaining excellent relationships with all those who are right there with us on the stagecoach ride. Our partners include A-List Talent, Internationally Known Directors with critical acclaim and box office success, Directors of Photography, VFX and CGI Production Houses, World Class Local Keys & Crews, Music Composers & Sound Engineers and Motion Picture Editors. The Technology may have evolved since Truffaut's time, but our need to work together and collaborate is why we in the industry cannot wait for that next stagecoach to come along.
